I am Melody Sadé Abeni – also known as the Engineer of Calm – and I’m an independent Operations and Compliance Coordinator who primarily works with small B2B limited companies and community interest companies (CICs).

I provide these businesses with ongoing support for their critical business operations to help them get their ‘house in order’ via a dedicated, preventative coordination service. As well as supporting my clients with their core business operations, I also support them in fulfilling their legal obligations with HMRC and other statutory bodies.

Visit here to download my summary PDF – this highlights the core range of services that I offer so that you can build your bespoke service package.

My clients work with me because:

  • I speak their language > Having worked within fast-paced consultancies & investment firms, I appreciate a high standard of work and processes, the need for reliability, and the importance of how business leaders present themselves to their clients.
  • I’m attentive > I am selective with whom I choose to work with and purposely limit the number of clients who have my attention at any one time. My focus is on building long-term relationships, regardless of the nature of the work.
  • I care > Running a business is hard and life doesn’t wait for you in the background. As well as a capable pair of hands, I also lend you a non-judgmental pair of ears – I am genuinely listening and I will protect your time/mental load where necessary.

Would you like me to bring the essence of my experiences to help your productivity and, ultimately, your bottom line?

Q What's your background?

An interesting journey... I originally trained as an Occupational Therapist, then decided that the public sector wasn't for me and so I switched to the corporate world. From there, I spent over 7 years supporting C/D/Board-level executives in the management consultancy and financial services industries.

Education-wise, I hold both BSc & LLM qualifications and I am currently undertaking Part One of the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme.

Q What types of clients do you work with?

I specifically serve limited companies - especially those in regulated industries - due to my own experiences and education, which I feel is best placed to serve the nature of how these companies work.

I also have a strong affinity for those who are focused on creating a positive social impact with what they do, even if that focus is just in their core ethos and values!

Q Is yellow your favourite colour?

How did you guess? :-)
